Dr. Bénédicte Pivot
Bénédicte Pivot is associate professor of sociolinguistics at Montpellier 3 University (France) since September 2015. Her PhD research was on revitalization process of very endangered languages based on the study of two cases rama language of Nicaragua and francoprovençal in France. She worked with Rama Language Project led by the linguist Colette Craig Grinevald (University of Oregon USA & University of Lyon 2 France) and was member of the team research LED-TDR (endangered languages – fieldwork, documentation, revitalization) of DDL lab at Lyon 2 University. She also had a professional experience of teaching French as second language and training teachers of FSL.
