New examination regulations (PO 2021)

At the University of Cologne, the Regional Studies Latin America degree program was reformed in winter semester 2021/2022 as part of a model accreditation.

From winter semester 2021/2022, the new examination regulations of 2021 (PO2021) for the joint bachelor's degree in RSL came into force. The new course structures and examination regulations as well as KLIPS 2.0 automatically apply to all students who have been enrolled in degree programs at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities since winter semester 2021/22 or who wish to change their degree program or subject.

Information on the supplementary modules

As part of the supplementary studies, a supplementary module of 12 CP is selected. The supplementary modules allow students to set their own individual focus.

Supplementary modules 1 (mobility module) and 2 (practical module) are credited via the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAC).

A transcript of records of the courses taken during the semester abroad is required for the recognition of EM 1, and a 3 to 5-page internship report and confirmation of the internship completed with the number of hours and the fields of activity are required for the recognition of EM 2. It is recommended that you contact the CLAC before starting your internship.
