New examination regulations (PO 2021)
At the University of Cologne, the Latin American Studies degree program was reformed in winter semester 2021/2022 as part of a model accreditation.
From winter semester 2021/2022, the new examination regulations of 2021 (PO2021) for the joint bachelor's degree in RSL came into force. The new course structures and examination regulations as well as KLIPS 2.0 automatically apply to all students who have been enrolled in degree programs at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities since winter semester 2021/22 or who wish to change their degree program or subject.
Information on the supplementary modules
As part of the supplementary studies, a supplementary module of 12 CP is selected. The range of supplementary modules allows students to set their own individual focus.
The supplementary module 1 (mobility module) is credited by Prof. Dr. Meding and the supplementary module 2 (practical module) is credited by the Latin American Center (CLAC).
A transcript of records of the courses taken during the semester abroad is required for the recognition of EM 1. For EM 2, a 3 to 5-page internship report (if a letter of motivation is available) as well as a confirmation of the internship completed with the number of hours and the fields of activity. It is recommended to contact the CLAC before the start of the internship.
