Recognition of semester abroad
Courses completed as part of a semester abroad can be credited via the following modules:
- EM1 Mobility Module (12LP): Credit for the supplementary module 1 (mobility module) is awarded by Prof. Dr. Meding. A transcript of records of the courses taken during the semester abroad is required for the crediting of EM 1.
- Studium Integrale (up to 12LP): Thomas Johnen and Silca Afonso of the Examination Office of the PhilFak are responsible for the crediting of courses via Studium Integrale. studienberatung-philfak

It is possible to take modules from the regular curriculum abroad. This can be done in the area of Latin American Studies as well as in the elective subject. For courses in the field of Latin American Studies, please register directly with the responsible professors (e.g. for AM Latin American History IV with Prof. Dr. Meding, for AM Literature, Culture and Media Studies with Martina Mohr). For modules from the WiSo compulsory elective subject, crediting takes place via a portal. You can find more information on the WiSo crediting procedure here.
We recommend that you clarify the crediting of courses with the responsible contact person before the start of the semester abroad!
